Celebration of June's Life
Obituary of June Jacobi
Suddenly at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, Carolyn "June" Jacobi (nee Munn) in her 83rd year. Joined at the Heaven Gates by her husband John Jacobi. Loving and Cherished mom of David and Michelle. Devoted Nana of Gabrielle. Forever remembered by her twin sister Joyce (Harold) Bezanson, brother Bob (Eileen) Munn and brother-in-law Bryce (Barb) Jacobi. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Harry. June will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Born June 16,1942 in Seaforth Hospital, June was the first baby to be born 20 mins prior to her identical twin sister Joyce.
June grew up on the farm where she learned the value of working hard and was never afraid to help out with chores. Being an identical twin, she had a very special twin bond with her sister. Growing up they would always be found together, usually staying out of trouble, but the odd time they may have been trading places to see if anyone noticed.
She had a huge heart which made her an amazing mother, nana & teacher which were some of the roles she had throughout her life.
June started her teaching career in London, Ontario where she taught full time until relocating to Strathroy to start a family and became a supply teacher in the area for all the public schools.
When she was not teaching, she could be found cheering on her son and daughter at any of the activities they participated in. She never missed a game and she was always their biggest fan and supported them both throughout their lives no matter what they were doing.
She was always involved in the community from the time they moved to Strathroy, whether it be with lODE or teaching Sunday school at Strathroy United Church.
She was an avid gardener and spent hours in the backyard of the family home looking after her many flower beds and gardens. When not in the garden she could be found on her daily walks around town.
Throughout her life and over the years she touched the hearts of many different people in all different walks of life.
June will be dearly missed by so many people.
