It is with heavy hearts the family of Garry Lorne MacKay announces his passing on October 20^th, 2024 at the age of 83 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Cherished husband of Pam Thomas and the late Noreen MacKay nee Churney (2002). Proud father of Anne Louise (Willy) Timmermans, Marcy (Brad) Denning and Carole (Bob) Dubs. Step-father of Nicole Yacks (Jeff McGhie), Gordon Huckle (Candice) and Amanda John. Papa of Drew MacKay-Timmermans (Kaitlyn Myers), Chad MacKay-Timmermans (Melissa Wonch), Colin MacKay – Timmermans, Damon (Ali) Denning, Connor Denning, Dani Denning, Taylor (Ben) Murray, Emily Dubs, Naomi Dubs. Great papa of Ivey Dubs and Grayson Murray. Step-papa of Emily McGhie, Cabella McGhie, Selena Thomas (Rubens Boileau), Logan Thomas, Lucian John, Demari John, Shakeem Dobson, Alexa Johnson, Mya Huckle and Bowen Huckle. Step great-papa to Mason Thomas-Boileau.  Brother of Bonnie (late Ken) Cranney, Wayne (Charlotte) MacKay and Debbie (Kevin) Watton. Predeceased by his sister Carole MacKay. Brother-in-law of Mary Ellen (late Gerald Fox), Russell (Mary) Yacks, Rosalind (Dom) Sterling, Wayne Yacks (Sheila Bisschop ), the late Cheryl (Jim) English, the late Ted and Yogi Churney, the late Fred and Ursula Churney, the late Erma and Bob Rivers, Gerry and Mike Clarke, and the late Billie (Jim) Fidler. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends.

A private interment of cremated remains will take place at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 27 at the Strathroy Royal Canadian Legion Branch 116 from 1:00-4:00pm. As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Strathroy VON or the Strathroy Legion Branch 116.
