Willem “Willie” Weerts

With family by his side on September 21, 2024, Willie Weerts passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 85. Willie is survived by his wife Coby. He will be missed dearly by his children Bert (Michele) Weerts and Joanne (Ray) Lee. He was the loving Opa of Maddie (Nate), Derek, Thomas, Allan, Jake, and Kenzie (Austin). He is survived by his sister Femmy. Willie was predeceased by his parents and three brothers.

Willie loved golfing and feeding the squirrels and chipmunks in his backyard. He spent lots of time travelling and enjoying the sites across Canada and Holland. Willie loved his grandchildren and was always offering encouragement and great advice.  

Willie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for the care that they provided to Willie during his stay.
