Obituary of Carolyn Clare Barreto

Carolyn Barreto passed peacefully in her sleep at age 71 after a long battle with cancer at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada.

She was the devoted wife of Eddie Barreto, the loving mother of Elsa (Jeremy) and cherished Grannie of Tova. 

She will be missed by her big brothers Keith (Maria) and Ian (Anni). She will be missed by her extended family and many friends around the world. 

She loved spending time with her dear friends and family, especially reading to and doing puzzles with her beloved granddaughter. 

Carolyn was always selfless and kind, as demonstrated by her devotion to volunteering; most recently at St Nicholas Primary School helping children learn to read and at the St John Hospice where she spent countless hours running the Thrift Shop, both of Antigua & Barbuda. 

A memorial service will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Saturday September 14, 2024, at 3:00pm. A reception will follow.
