Obituary of Rénald Marcel Dionne

It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Rénald Marcel Dionne (Rey) who died peacefully at home on August 9th, 2024.
 

Renald was born on June 2, 1956, in Ste. Anne Madawaska, New Brunswick. He was the son of Rita and Leo Dionne.

He was an outstandingly dedicated and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Diane Dionne for a milestone of nearly 45 amazingly beautiful blissful years. He passed one day before their wedding anniversary. It was love at first sight, He stole her heart, and she let him keep it forever.
 

He was the proud and Admirable father of the late Cynthia Sitzes, Nadia Sousa, and Jessica Dionne. We were all Daddy’s Girls
    
He was the “hard shoes to fill” father-in-law to Brian Sitzes, and Mark Sousa.

He was the adored, cherished and irreplaceable Pepere to Austin Sitzes, Christian Sousa, Alandra Sousa, Mariah Sousa and Jasper Dionne-Medeiros.

He is missed dearly by his siblings Andre (Denise) Dionne, Florence (the late Emile) Papineau, Gisele (the late Roger) Cyr, Abel (the late Ida) Dionne, the late Donald Dionne, Diane (Allan) Michaud, Kenneth (Carmen) Dionne, Claudette (Fernand) Godin, Daniel (Anne) Dionne, Mireille (Wayne) Cyr, Christian (Francoise) Dionne, the late Michael Dionne, Chantal (Daniel) Deschene, and the late Joseph Dionne.

He made broken look beautiful, and strong look invincible. He made mundane moments magical. He walked with the universe on his shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
 

There are things in life that death cannot touch, but grief is the price we are paying for the love of the most extraordinary man, whose hearts of those he touched, is why his heart we all loved so much.
