Obituary of Jacobus Franciscus Lenders

Jacobus “Jake” Lenders passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Veterans Parkwood on June 14, 2024. Jake was born February 14, 1947 in the village of Maasbree, Nederland. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Drika Lenders, his long-time partner, Joe McEwan, brother Frank (Iris), niece Angela, and nephew Gary. He will be missed by his siblings Dorothy (late John) Sleegers, Peter (Wendy) Lenders, Anne (Ric) Chute, Gerald (Brenda) Lenders, and Mary (Peter) Janssen, as well as Catherine Docherty (John), and Helen McEwan. Jake will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jake loved his furry friends, playing the piano, and the outdoors. Fondly remembered will be the family pool parties.

Special thanks to those at Veterans Parkwood who extended exceptional care to Jake.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10am until the Memorial Service at 11am, followed by a luncheon at Denning’s of Strathroy, with the interment to take place at Strathroy Cemetery at 2pm.
