Sincere condolences to Mary, Tyler, Tory, and Wendy. I am very sad to hear of Jim's passing. I feel as though I spent as much time in the Armstrong household as I did in my own in the 80's. I can't imagine 346 Robert Street without him there tending to the yard or washing the car. Smelling that pipe, riding in those cars to hockey games, watching the Tigers. He was a huge presence and a kind presence to a little kid. I will remember him as a big-hearted and generous man who loved his family. Rest in peace, Jim.

Jim helped lay a strong foundation for all who partake in recreation in Strathroy. His many years of dedicated service helped shape how people felt about living here and building the community we have today. I will also never forget the phone call after I first got on Council. Even though he had already retired the town was still very important to him.
