Passed peacefully on May 7, 2024 with family at his side at Sprucedale Care Centre.  He was 95.

Predeceased by his wife Anni (2009), his parents Alice and Robert, and his siblings Ralph, Dorothy, Sam and Arthur and sister-in-law Rennie.  Dear father of Laurie (Gary), Debbie, Jason (Sharon) and Chris.  Dear step-father to Janie (Adam), Lydia (Jan) and Gary.

Grandfather to Julie, Christine (Andrew), and Melissa (Adam).  Great-grandfather to Carter.

Beloved uncle to Barb Zealand (Paul), Linda Vardy (Clayton), and Kathy Browning (Nick).

Bob was always grateful for his caring neighbours and was admired and loved by his wonderful dog, "Lady".

Born and educated in Port Arthur, he loved his career at Ontario Hydro for over 42 years in various positions and locations.  He fondly remembered his times at Cameron Falls, Kakabeka Falls and locations East, West and North of Thunder Bay.  Loved fishing, hunting, was a ham radio operator with contacts all over the world.  Obtained his private pilot license and enjoyed flying his Cessna plane with his friends.

Experienced extensive travel with Anni in their motorhome.  "Coast to Coast Canada" was their motto.

Accomplished woodworker, he was always thrilled making toys for the fire/police stations to give to local kids.  He also made elaborate dollhouses for charities and hospital fundraisers.

Family wishes to thank the staff at Sprucedale Care Centre, Cedar Grove, for their compassionate and constant care.

Cremation has taken place and no visitation or funeral as per Bob's wishes.  Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
