Obituary of Dina Bettencourt

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on April 9, 2024, Dina Bettencourt passed away at the age of 87. Dina was predeceased by her devoted husband Roque Bettencourt. She was the proud mother of Edgar (Juliette) Bettencourt, Joe Bettencourt, and Maria (Helder) Freitas. Dina was the cherished Vovó of Brian and Christine; Dillon, Nicole, and Martina; and Vanesa, Ashley, and Serena. She was the loving Bisavó of Nick, Brandon, Ava, Brooklyn, James, and Elena. Dina is survived by her many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Family always came first for Dina. She was an incredibly hard worker, who took great pride in supporting her family. She loved cooking Sunday dinners and knitting. Dina will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.

Dina’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the amazing nurses, staff, and volunteers at Strathmere Lodge and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held at ALL SAINTS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH on April 11, 2024, from 10:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial take place at the church following visitation at 11:00am. Interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
