The Ken I remember was such a gifted guy -- gifted in personality and as a writer. He was a gentle, graceful soul, and it was a privilege to know him. But he never could get over the circumstances of his youth.
For the 35 years that Ken was with me I helped him through his struggles in life. There were many. He had memories of bad experiences that haunted him throughout his life. I was there for him to help him get through them. I am tortured now with the memories of him going through the suffering caused by this horrible cancer and not being able to save him. The suffering is over now. He can now rest in peace.
