Aida I will remember that day of shopping with your daughter and lunch with you. We laughed so much. You were so happy, that is how I will remember you! I also remember taking the kids to Spice World at the Strathroy theater. Sr. Carlos and you raised amazing children. I love you forever!

Since hearing the very sad news on Wednesday, January 3rd, I have been in a state of shock. I still can't believe the news that my dear friend Aida is gone… I am devastated. I could share stories of our adventures and working together back in the day doing hard labour working at Downham Nursery or working the night shift at an onion factory during a very hot summer in Thedford. Jobs were scarce in our town of Strathroy so I would drive us and my cousin Liz about 40 mins away to Thedford. Gosh did we laugh that summer. I could share tons of pictures of us in our glory, in our younger days. We were always smiling together and Aida had the most natural and hearty laugh. It was simply infectious. I spent a lot of time with Aida and her family. I also spent a lot of time with just her kids. Sometimes she would drop them off so the kids could visit me along with my parents and sister. Sometimes I babysat them. Her two children, Lidia and Carlos, were sweet children and they have grown into such lovely people. I love them dearly. I am so thankful for our friendship and deep connection of over 31 years, Aida. I am so thankful we got to spend the day together on December 15, 2023. May you rest in peace, dear friend. I love you always and all ways. xox. My thoughts and prayers are with your husband and children as well as your family. My deepest condolences.
