Obituary of Joseph Marton

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Marton announces his peaceful passing on November 22, 2023 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Fran Marton (nee Frydryszczyk) for 67 wonderful years. Cherished father of Nancy Marton and Terry (Linda) Marton. Proud grandfather of Brittany (Jordan) and Breanne (Taylor). Great grandpa of Logan, Sadie, Benji and Oliver. Beloved son of the late John and Annie Marton and son-in-law of the late Antoni and Nellie Frydryszczyk.

Predeceased by his siblings Annie (Louis) Nagy and John Jr (Irene) Marton and niece Julie Telfer. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Joe will be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Mary Dubicki, Carol Ouellette, and Kathy Wilkins as well as brother-in-law Peter. Predeceased by sister Helen Green and brother-in-law Wes Dubicki.

Joe was a very successful farmer for many decades. He was an extremely hard worker and was very talented with his hands, even building a home for his family. He was a fabulous dancer and loved to be on the dance floor, especially with his wife Fran. Joe was an avid gardener, who loved to tend to his vegetable garden. Joe also loved playing cribbage and euchre with family and friends. Joe’s greatest joy in retirement was spending summers with Fran at their beautiful mobile home, surrounded by a wonderful community of friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
