Barbara Ruth Nirkkola

Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre on October 16, 2023, Barbara Ruth Nirkkola passed away in her 85^th year. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband Arvo Nirkkola. She was the loving mother of Lorie (Miguel) Godinez and Kevin (Lisa) Nirkkola. She was the cherished Grandma of Brigitte and Michelle Godinez and Zachary Clarke, and Joshua & Jonathan Nirkkola. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Anne Nenonen (Lauri) and Aino Hautala (Predeceased Armas). Barbara will be missed by her many great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Family always came first for Barbara. She truly cared about other people, and always went above and beyond to help those in need. Barbara will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. Her legacy will be carried on through her kindness to one and all.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 23, 2023, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will follow immediately beginning at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
