Dear Winter Family, my sincere condolences on the loss of Ross. I met him approximately three years ago, when I approached him at the entrance of his farm, to request permission to photograph the many birds that made of his land, their home also.
It was a sad moment for me when I went to visit today, and found out of his passing, from his nephew Darryl.
Ross loved his farm, his house, and shared memories of his childhood on the farm, and the beautiful gardens made by his mother.
I will miss Ross' smile, polite manner, and gentle ways, when I walk or drive by the Winter Farm, while looking for more birds to photograph in the future.
