I was very fortunate to have Ivan as my first assistant manager at the A&P in Strathroy. He was an excellent assistant manager in running the store and was a great ambassador for Strathroy.

Ivan was my 'boss' from 1974 - 1995 and the great memories are too numerous to mention. His humour, wit and compassion for his employees were second to none. The nicknames he gave some of us were priceless.. Avarilly and snowbird were two of mine.. the latter because I wouldn't drive to work if it was snowing. He always had our back when a problem arose in the company but he expected us to work as diligently as he would.. he gave 100% to A & P.. my sincere condolences to Marion and the family..Ivan will be missed and has left us with great memories. Rest in peace dear friend.

Ivan was not only my boss but, also a friend and mentor when I worked at A&P from 1974 to '76. He taught me the importance of hard work, character and honor. Ivan was always there to teach, chasten and laugh with you. It is with great sorrow I offer my condolences to the Picott family on their loss
