Obituary of Norm Calcutt

Norman “Norm” Calcutt 

Peacefully at Middlesex Terrace on July 15th, 2023, Norm Calcutt passed away at the age of 91. Norm was predeceased by his loving sweetie Phyllis May Calcutt. He was the proud dad of Tim Calcutt, Nancy (Rick) Kennedy, Jeff (Cathy) Calcutt. Norm will be missed by his six grandchildren and his eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by his two sisters Lyla (the late Ron) Smith and Joanne (Floyd) Moore, his brother-in-law Sheldon (Linda) Clark, sister-in-law Heather Laughton, and brother-in-law Terry Cooper. He was predeceased by his parents Norman Sr. and Margaret Calcutt, and his siblings Ernest, Russell (the late Maria), Donald (the late Loretta), Ross (the late Ricki), Mary (the late Carl), Ken (survived by Lynn), and Ron (survived by Nancy). Norm will be remembered by his extended family and his many friends.  

Norm was a very hardworking man. He devoted much of his time to volunteering within the community with the VON and the Salvation Army. Norm loved to keep busy. He was a key part of Sing Your Way Home, where he dedicated himself to creating hymn books that could be enjoyed by people all over Canada. He had a witty sense of humour, which he proudly passed down to his children. Norm’s family meant the world to him. His endless love for all those around him will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 21^st, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday July 22^nd, 2023, at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery
