Obituary of Trent Doige

James Trent Doige

Peacefully, after a couple of "accidents", with his beloved partner Mary-Alice by his side, Trent Doige passed away just six hours shy of his 94th birthday. Trent was surrounded by love and his incredible team of nurses, who were like angels. 

Trent was predeceased by his parents (James) Harold and Thelma (Simpson) Doige, his first wife Grace (2010), his beloved daughter Diane (2013), and his youngest brother David (2021).

Trent is survived by his loving partner Mary-Alice McManus, his younger brothers Bruce (Regis), Rollie, Peter (Vannia), and his younger sister Nancy Walthrop. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Trent was a long-time member of the Masons. He worked for Ford in St. Thomas for a number of years. He devoted much of his time to the Anglican Church of Canada. Trent was very adventurous. He loved the outdoors, camping, and spending time with those he loved.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 13^th, 2023, from 10:00am until 11:00am at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A memorial service will take place immediately following visitation at 11:00am at the funeral home.

In memory of Trent, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation.
