We are sorry to hear of Johns passing. Our memory of him singing was something that amazed us as we can't carry a tune ourselves. He left a lasting impression with everyone who got to know him....whether it be singing, telling a joke, or commenting about his big feet. Always the life of the party. May he rest in peace and you, Rieky and family, cherish the great memories he left you with. We didn't know about the visitation until it was too late, otherwise we would have attended and passed our condolences in person.

Aunt Rikki, Rob, Sandra and all your kids that we don't know. Laurie and I and our kids apologize for not being able to make it there to be with you. That doesn't mean that we aren't thinking of you. Uncle John is a good uncle to us. I've never ever felt that I, we weren't family. He always treated us with kindness and inclusion when we were together.
I always get a smile when I think of him because I knew he'd have a joke or two or three or ... well you know... WE were unable to make it to his memorial service, but we all held you guys in our hearts and thoughts. On behalf of us George family members , I held a traditional ceremony for Uncle John and you guys. I smoked our sacred pipe and sang healing songs for all the family that were having a hard time with Uncle John leaving us here. Baa Maa pii, in our language, means to take care of yourselves.

Reiky and John what can I say after 54 years of friendship. How fortunate we have been to have shared so much of our lives. John will be missed. We will miss his wonderful laughter, super voice and the many songs we have shared together. The great times that both Peter and John could be funny and able to laugh at themselves have made memories of a lifetime. The serious John who was a craftsman, giving his 100% whether at the job site or the woodwork he would create as gifts, excellence was his motto. I know that Peter and John will continue to be with us. He fiercely loved his children, Sandra and Rob and all of his grandchildren. They are the joys of his life.

Ricky my deepest sympathy to you and your family at the death of John. It was incredible how John knew a song at the drop of a hat. Amazingly he knew all the verses as well.
