Obituary of Robert Patterson

Surrounded by loving family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday August 4, 2008. Robert(Bob) George Patterson of Kerwood in his 72nd year. Dearly loved husband of fourty seven years of Donna (Wernham) Patterson and dear father of D. Kathy and Jerry Hendrikx of Parkhill, Robin and John McLenon of Kerwood, Robbie and Tami Patterson of St. Albert Alberta and Ryan Patterson and Lindsay Thorn of London. Loving grandfather of Emily, Erin, Scott, Meghan Hendrikx, Olivia, Daniel McLenon, Ryan, Kyle, Makenna and Torrie Patterson. Loved son of Helen (Potter) Patterson Thynne and also survived by brother in law Robert and Betty Douglas of Mt. Brydges and sister in law Judy Patterson as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his father Clarence Patterson(1976) his step father Harold Thynne(2006) and his brother Carmen Patterson (2008). Bob was a proud life member of Beaver Lodge #83 AF and AM of Strathroy , Beaver Chapter #74, The Scottish Rite, and Sarnia Lodge of Perfection. Bob was Past District Deputy Grand Master of Sarnia District. The family would like to thank Dr. Jay Younis and the nurses at London Regional Cancer Centre and Bob's personal physician Dr. Gary Perkin for their compassion and care of Bob, especially during the last five years. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday August 6 th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Thursday August 7th at 1:00pm with Mrs.Thelma Perry officiating. Interment Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre or Kerwood United Church would be appreciated by the family. A Masonic memorial service will take place at 6:30pm Wednesday under the auspices of Beaver Lodge #83 AF and AM Strathroy.
