Obituary of Catharine Lulu Harrison

Catharine Lulu Harrison (Nee Stewart)

Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital after a short illness, Catharine Lulu Harrison passed away on May 21st, 2023, at the age of 93. Catharine was the loving wife of the late Lyle McColl Harrison. She was the proud mother of Stewart Harrison (Ana) and Wayne Harrison (deceased). Catharine was the cherished grandma to Charlie Harrison (Thansha). She is survived by her nieces and nephews Heather, Linda, Marlene, Joe, Mike, David, Sharon, Sheryl, Susan, Dave, Dean, and Kevin. Predeceased by her sister Alice Dickens.

Catharine was very involved in her church community, where she made many close friends. She proudly worked at the Middlesex County Library for many years. Catharine had a passion for family genealogy, and the annual Stewart Reunion was always a highlight.  Along with Lyle, she spent over 50 years on the family's farm, gaining lifelong friends among her neighbours.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 3rd, 2023, at DENNING'S OF STRATHROY from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the caring staff at both Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Parkwood Hospital. Catharine's family would also like to sincerely thank all of the staff at Seasons Retirement Community where Catharine lived happily for over 10 years.
