I am so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. He was a great guy. Carl's family lived next door to mine in West Williams before they moved to Strathroy in the late 1950s. We spent a lot of time together as kids playing at each others houses. I would see him often at car shows. It was only a few weeks ago I saw him cruising in his roadster and thought car show season is here and I will be seeing him again.

We just learned this morning from my sister Margaret Egan of Petrolia who also just learned of the passing of our cousin Carl. We also were unaware of Carl being ill and in the hospital. It was only just this past Easter that we spoke with him over the phone and he seemed to be fine at that time. We are all shocked of his passing. Our Lord is taking us one at a time to be in His presence and what a feeling of peace with the assurance of our eternal salvation for anyone who believes and are saved. We were so shocked to hear of Carls passing. We did not know he was ill or had passed. We are first cousins and spent many good times at our grandparents (Fraser’s) farm growing up. Our Moms were sisters. We have shared many memories over the years and have always been close through our times of grief and fun get togethers.
Carl was a firm believer in his Saviour and Lord and is now at peace with his Heavenly Father, with those loved ones who have passed over before him. Rest in peace Carl! We shall miss his smile and witty sense of humor.

I have good memories of working with Carl when I was a young apprentice and then journeyman. He was exceptionally good at his craft and was willing to share that. Most of all he good fun to have on a job.

With the heaviest of hearts we.ve learned of the passing of Carl Waun. Carlie, I just wanted to take this moment to share a special thank you to your entire family for the lifetime of memories we.ve shared. Whether it be Delaware Speedway, consuming plates of lobster at the Mandarin, Pizza Wheel after bethel hockey was a treat friday nights, Sunday school, Camp Canbay adventures, playing hockey or baseball, going to London Knights games, ripping in the S10, scouting for Strathroy Rockets, or simply talking Rookie Sports cards, you were a role model I looked up to & respected immensely. Thank you for the sports coaching & sound advice you provided throughout my youth, you will always be a well respected man in our Strathroy community. To me this photo attached represents the care & compassion you & Lindy Marie demonstrated with not only myself, but everyone you knew. You both cared, you listened, you believed, you offered advice & insight, and usually ended with a laugh & joke about something. One of such jokes, I will never forget "SNIFF THE MOON GIRLIESSSSS " that created belly laughs & giggles still lasting to this day.
