It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Lourdes Faria on March 28, 2023, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Antonio Faria (2017). Cherished mother of Gabriel “Mike” (Peggy) Faria, Carmelita (Leo) Moniz and Fatima (John) Arruda. Proud Vavo to Alicia (Brent), Justin (Kate), Endy, Jason (Jessica), Stephanie and Jaxyn. Great-grandma to Rachel, Rylyn, Alexa and Audrina. Sister of Odilia, Manuel, John (Orminda) and Connie. Predeceased by her sister Lucy and her parents Joao and Elvira Alves. She will be missed by many extended family members and friends.

Maria loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her everything. She enjoyed helping Antonio around the gardens, even in her last few years, she was always willing to help out in the garden. Maria loved crocheting blankets for her family and friends to enjoy.  Her warm smile and sweet voice will be missed by everyone.

A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 11am at All Saints Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
