Obituary of Jean Rychel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Rychel (nee Gibson) of Strathroy. Jean passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, August 30, 2008 with her family by her side. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister and nana who always put her family first. She struggled for many years with many health issues but always had a smile. She suffers no longer and is now at peace. Jean was a loving and devoted wife of Mike Rychel for 50 years, dear mother of Julie Locke, Joe and Sue, Jeff and Darren and Lisa and Tony Medeiros and cherished nana of Bruce Locke, Melissa and Ryan Van Geffen, Joey Rychel, Heather Rychel and Olivia Medeiros. She is also survived by her uncle Clarence (Hoot) Gibson, brother Raymond (Carolyn) Gibson and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday, September 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Strathroy United Church on Wednesday, September 3 at 11 AM with Rev. Jock Tolmay officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Strathroy Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
