Obituary of Alice Abma

Alice (Alie) Abma (nee:Osinga) - born April 3, 1930 in Oudega W., Friesland, The Netherlands. With sorrow yet assurance we give thanks to God for the life of a wife, mother and grandmother who passed away on September 10, 2008, in the cardiac unit of the University Hospital in London, Ontario. She was surrounded by family as she passed. Predeceased by beloved husband Fred (Freerk). Dear mother to Andrew Abma of Britannia Beach, BC; John and Mary Abma of Bright's Grove, ON; Janet and John Postma of Red Deer, AB; Richard and Wendy Abma of Calgary, AB; Chris and Pete Van Hove of Surrey, BC; Mike and Shirlene Abma of Grand Rapids, MI; George and Amanda Abma of Strathroy, ON; Sylvia and Gary Lammers of Kitchener, ON; Francine and Dennis Vink of Calgary, AB. Grandmother (Beppe) to 27 grandchildren. Survived by brothers Michiel, Siemen, Yke, and Gooitsen Osinga and sister Sytske Schakel. Predeceased by brother Sietse Osinga. Visitation at Westmount Christian Reformed Church (405 Drury Lane, Strathroy) Friday, September 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 pm.
