Dear Holly, Griff and Heather, so sorry to hear of Joe's passing, and sorry we missed the service. Joe was a valuable member of our Scouting Group, fantastic with the kids, loved the outdoors and did not let unexpected things get him or others down. He would tell a joke and everyone would laugh. I still recall fondly the week we spent together with our patrol at Canadian Jamboree 1993 at Kananaskis, rain, bears and miles of walking to go anywhere.
God Bless you Holly, Griff and Heather

Know you and your family are in our thoughts not only today but in the challenging times ahead. Lean on each other and your support group and take care. We pray that God's peace will be with you in the coming days.
Although I just was getting to know you and Joe, you write of a very loving man who was your ‘Rock’ in life. Joe sounds like a special person I would have loved to sit with and enjoy hearing his stories of life and fishing. May you RIP Joe! ❤️

Joe was a quiet calm that cut through the bull and had a way of making decisions and the path forward seem so obvious. I remember soo many days and nights of watching amazing examples of love and partnership between him and Holly from their couch in the office, and admired the way they were each others best friend and partner and how that seemed to evolve as the kids in their life got older and they grew into that empty nest together.
Heather and Griff - he was so proud of you. When we would run into each other and you guys came up in the conversation, he beamed. He swelled! He was so proud to be your Dad. Xox Thinking of all of you with love!

Holly i am so very sorry to see this has happened. Joe was indeed a quiet man when i first met him when he was handling his sister's estate and i was pleasantly surprised when i stopped at one of your yard sales and found him to be very friendly and talkative. I bought a couple of jigsaw puzzles from him that day and we talked about our mutual love of puzzles. I didnt know you at the time until we met at a Horticultural event where he came with you and i recognized him. It was a pleasure to get to know both of you. Know that i am here if you need to talk just as you offered to me in the loss of my husband and my Mom. We will support each other.
