Obituary of Mary Sutherland

Surrounded by her family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Mary Margaret Sutherland (Riddell) of Ailsa Craig in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Bill Sutherland of Ailsa Craig and dear mother of Murray and Lissette Sutherland of Denfield, Christine and Frank Farkas of Harley, Ontario, Carrie and Duncan McLeish of Strathroy and Marsha and Terry VanderWal of Coldstream. Proud grandmother of Jacob, Tasha, Clayton, Alexander, Julianna, Jon and Pieter. Dear sister of Elizabeth and Keith Selves and John and Pat Riddell. Daughter-in-law of Gordon Sutherland, sister-in-law of Jeanie and Murray Lee and Syd Sutherland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret (Story) Riddell and mother-in-law Catherine Sutherland (Jickling) and her sister-in-law June Sutherland. Visitation will be held at the T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig on Thursday, September 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Ailsa Craig United Church on Friday, September 26 at 2 PM with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. Donations to the Ailsa Craig United Church Memorial Fund or the Strathroy Hospital Foundation for Patient Care Equipment.
