Obituary of Ila Parsons

On Thursday October 23rd, 2008. Ila June (White) Parsons in her 86th year, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Listowel. Ila was surrounded by her family as she went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Ila was born in Delaware Ont. the third daughter of Tom and Laura White (Barclay). Ila is survived by her loving and devoted husband Howard Parsons of 62 years. Lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Fred and Mary Ellen Parsons, Daniel and Amy, Adam and Jenn Roth: Phil and Marie Parsons, Bradley, Erin and Andrew Birkner(Jade and Jenna), Brenden: Tom and Diana Parsons, Jeffrey (Riley and Liam), Bryan and Alana, Jeremy and Jacqui Thomson (Addisyn): Karen and Frank Haveman, Eli, Erika, Caleb and Ali. Predeceased by an infant son Gary and brother Thomas White and sisters Norma Dowding and Betty Parkin. Survived by her sisters Ruby Drake and Shirley Eastabrook and lovingly remembered by all her relatives and many friends. Ila was involved in many church, school and community related activities including President of the Home and School Association, ACW and many Senior Outreach programs. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday October 26th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday October 27, 2008 at 11:00am from the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Dwarika, Listowel officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery following service. Donations in memory of Ila to Perth County Alzheimers Association or the Poplar Hill Christian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Ila.
