Upon first meeting Brendan,I felt an immediate connection on a much deeper level, even though we had just moved here from Northern Vancouver Island. I'd describe it like meeting an old friend you hadn't seen for years,or decades & even though our paths didn't cross very often at PUC/London Hydro,it was always heartfelt and enjoyable.
...I recently read somewhere that all you take with you when you pass is the Love you gave on this side of life.I think there is a lot of truth in this..&..Brendan certainly put a lot of that across to everyone he met.
Happy Trails

I'm shocked and saddened to hear Brendan has passed. He was always so strong and led a healthy life with a strong faith. One of the kindest and most gentle people you will ever meet. At every London Hydro function, he proved that chivalry had not died. If your path crossed with Brendan, you were a better person for having had that opportunity. I continue to tell stories of the man that shot low 70's with his hickory shaft clubs. He had a tremendous work ethic and an incredible love for Carol. Brendan will be sadly missed.

I had the blessing of growing up across the road from Brendan and Carol -- and they were both such wonderful people. True to Brendan's love for golf -- his grass was pristine, and beautifully manicured -- giving him a space to chip and putt. Brendan was one of the kindest people you could ever meet -- and had there been a picture of "salt of the earth" in the dictionary, Brendan's picture would have been there. I am so very thankful for having had the opportunity to know Brendan, and have him as part of my story. Brendan was a man of faith, and someone who loved the Lord.
As sad as we were to hear of Brendan's passing, we felt peace knowing that heaven was welcoming him home, and he and Carol were together again. Our condolences to those who are grieving Brendan's passing, and we pray for comfort and support for his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, at this most difficult time.
Brendan, you will be missed.

Brendan set an example on the golf course like no other person. He wore plus-fours and a flat cap, and played with a small bag of about 4 antique clubs only. Then he still scored par or under and was cheerful company.

It was an absolute pleasure being Bredan's neighbour, when we moved into the house next door to him last winter he was right there to greet us, and during the winter months he would clear our driveway with his snowblower. He would also clear a path on our lawn right in front of our house to his house, we thought this was a bit odd and then we realized he was clearing a path for the mailman.
During the summer months his outdoor area would be filled with colourful flowers & greenery, I'd sit outside in the early mornings and admire his gardening and he'd always stop to say hello as he was on his way out for a round of golf.
Always offering his help to us if we ever needed some assistance with anything big or small.
Rest In Peace Brendan.
