Obituary of Gerry Hoek

Lamentations 3:24 "The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!". Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, December 12, 2008 at London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus. Gerry van der Hoek of Strathroy in his 73rd year. Loving husband of Grace for 50 years. Beloved father of the late Sylvia (Ken) Hammer, Greta van der Hoek and her husband Mark Overgaauw and Wilma (Peter) Overgaauw. Survived by grandchildren Gerry Posilius, Brianna Hammer and Sam, Nick, Sydney Overgaauw. Friends will be received at the Providence United Reformed Church, 477 Second St., Strathroy on Monday, December 15 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, December 16 from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, December 17 at 1 PM with Pastor Harry Zekveld officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the LHSC - Critical Care Centre would be appreciated.
