Mrs. Linker was such a wonderful person. We have great memories visiting the Linker farm as kids with our farmer nana , as they were very close friends. She made wonderful cakes, flower arrangements, and sang beautifully many Sunday mornings! She had a smile on every time I saw her at church. Our sincerest condolences to all the family. She will be greatly missed. The Lord be with you all. Sincerely , Sarah and Jon Periard.

I first met Helen as a teenager when I started attending Bethel Baptist Church. Many fond memories of Helen flood my mind as I think about our interactions and connection over the last 40 years. To this day, I enjoy a good rendition of “Broken Pieces.”
30 years ago, Helen taught me how to make the bouquets for my wedding. She introduced me to fall crocuses and ferns and I’ll forever have her phone number etched in my mind from all the 911 calls during canning season. I could always count on her when I was on my last jar of pickles and ran out of dill or when I had technical canning questions. Helen’s date squares and butter tarts have always been favourites with my own family.
My fondest memory of Helen was a woman who desired to share the gospel of Christ whether it be through driving children to attend Sunday school or serving through Cuba Outreach, Helen demonstrated her love for others and her Lord.
John and family, Rodger and I hold you in our thoughts and prayers. May the hope we have of eternity sustain you all as you grieve the loss of Helen until you meet again.

Seeing flowers will always remind us of Helen and her gardens - both inside and outside of the house! Our deepest condolences to you John - our dear neighbour - and your family. We have loved living across the road from you for so many years and already miss seeing Helen out working in her beautiful gardens. She was so kind and caring and made our corner of the world a better place just by being in it. We are sending our love and prayers to you John - and to your family..... and know that Helen will be smiling down from heaven on all of us. Love, Don and Jane Shirley

Helen sure left her mark here on earth with her servanthood to her Lord and Savior. I remember my grandkids calling me telling me how their Sunday School teacher Mrs Helen brought them a birthday cake and believe me this thrilled them so much. She was soft spoken but her words counted . She was always willing to help wherever she could. Helen set a great example for us all. My heart goes out to John and family, even though she is with Jesus, she leaves a big hole that only God and time can heal. Praying for you all.

Dear brother John and family,
Helen and I were best friends when we were 14 and 15 years old. I was an immigrant kid, and she took me under her wing. I spoke very little English, but we managed to communicate. We were country neighbours, and spent many hours in the woods. She taught me names of wild flowers and we belonged to the 4H club.
We would often eat meals at each other's place. I loved the meals at her house, so different from the Dutch fare, which she seemed to enjoy. Eventually my brother John took over from me, and she's been a very sweet sister-in-law for more than sixty years. I miss chatting with her already.

Dear Mr. Linker, Andy and Michelle, Brian and Corinne, Carl and Lindsay, Doug and Sophie, and families,
I do not even know where to begin, but Beth really said it best when she said "Helen, you are a true gem." My earliest memories of Mrs. Linker go back to when she was my Sunday School teacher in grade 2 (we will not say how long ago that was). I remember the beautiful birthday cake she made for me (and every child in her class) on my birthday. It was beautiful, delicious and made me feel so special and loved. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Linker spanning decades, including her making crafts with us, sharing some of her treasured recipes, singing in church, and just being a steady, loving presence in so many lives. Mrs. Linker was truly a humble and genuinely caring person. This tiny blurb cannot do justice to the impact Helen had on so many, but I remember most the love she had for her family - her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. May your memories of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother be a blessing in the days ahead.
With deepest sympathy,
Jennifer Myny

Oh sweet Helen a true gem. I remember when I first came to Bethel she was one of the singing trio ladies, she loved her Lord so much and served faithfully a great example to me. She loved teaching her Sunday school kids and always brought a cake to them on their birthday no matter where they lived. Her warm smile will definitely be missed.
I can truly imagine hearing Jesus say,
“well done my good and faithful servant, welcome home.”
