My heart goes out to Marty’s family and to everyone who loved him. This is such a huge loss. I was Marty’s bookkeeper for the last few years he was in business and I truly loved the guy.

I spent many years providing Martin Insurance on his Building in Timmins and all his personal assets. We had many long chats however only a small part was spent on Insurance items and the rest was on everything else. Martin had strong opinions on many topics and he seemed tough on the outside but I truly believe he was a teddy bear on the inside. I will have many fond memories of our business relationship. I worked the summer of 1978 what was then Mister Transmission, Marty taught me so much that summer, a lot of it I use today in my field, He would often send me to the London cafe to get toast and he liked the cream pie they had there, We would chat for hours when it wasn't busy. I was fortunate to have met Martin several times while visiting Helen and John. I remember him as an entertaining story teller and a person with many thought out plans. you posted a wonderful photo of him.
