Doug, was the best boss that I ever had and he had a huge impact on my life. My days spent with him on the bread truck influenced my choice of career in the Royal Canadian Air Force. For it was with Doug that I learned how to add, subtract and multiply at a very high speed without error. For if I remember correctly he didn’t tolerate being short at the end of the day and he often threatened me with a beating if I failed. I remember spending many a breakfast with Marie and Doug before heading out on the road. Pat and I had the good fortune to spend a few hours with Doug outside his home just before COVID became a reality. Pat has fondly mentioned our last visit to many of our friends. I will miss Doug but my memory of him will stay with me forever.
