Obituary of Omer Beselaere

Suddenly in New York State on Sunday March 1st 2009 as a result of a truck accident. Our dear Papa Omer Richard Beselaere of Strathroy passed away in his 78th year . He will be missed by his wife Simone and by his children Noreen (Ron) Vanderjeugd and David (Violet) Beselaere. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Christopher (Tracie) Vanderjeugd, Mellissa (David) Vanderjeugd, Valerie Vanderjeugd, Jennifer (Brenden) Mahon, Matthew (Rhonda) Beselaere and Lisse-Anne (Mark) Beselaere and great grandchildren Courtney, Ayden, Ehren, Nathan and Nickolas. Also survived by his brothers Robert and Josie Beselaere, and Albert and Mary Beselaere and brother in law Richard Vandergunst, several nieces and nephews and many friends present and past. Predeceased by his parents Marcel (1963) and mother Madeline Raedt (Beselaere) (1988) in laws Gaston (1957) and Josephine Depauw(1983) sister in law Agnes Vandergunst (2005) step father Albert Raedt (1982). Omer was a devoted family man as well as a founding member of the Knights of Columbus in Strathroy. Visitation will take place at Denning Bros. Funeral Home on Thursday March 5, 2009. From 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Friday March 6, 2009 at 11:00 am. Father Lucio Couto Celebrant. Interment All Saints Cemetery Strathroy. Parish prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday March 5th at 6:30 pm. Knights of Columbus memorial service time pending. Donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Omer.
