Obituary of David Murray Ott
David Ott April 27, 1946-September 22, 2021
After a brave battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma, David Ott, in his 76th year, passed away at St. Thomas General Elgin Hospital, on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.
Predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Alice (Volelsang) Ott. David is survived and forever missed by his wife, love and soulmate Kim (Braine) Ott. He is lovingly remembered and forever in the hearts of his daughters Chelan Ott (Arley Davie) of London, ON, Jackie Mummery (Paul) of Cambridge, ON, and Hillary Drohn (David) of Michigan. Also missed by his 5 grandchildren; Daegan West, Calvin Fisher, and Wyatt, Morgan and Lena Mummery. David is lovingly survived by his sister Kelly Commanda (Rick), of Guelph, ON, and his nieces Keri Commanda (Graham), of Guelph, ON, and Kori Commanda (Greg) of Kitchener.
We would like to thank the SW Public Health and Sharon Russell, the amazing PSWs who visited and took care of Dave (Linda and Mel), the home nurse (Laura), and especially the 4th floor nurses and medical team who took care of Dave at STEGH. Thank you also to Dr. Selay Lam, and Dr. Stephanie Solcz for administrating to his medical needs and getting him the best care possible.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at DENNINGS OF STRATHROY, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy, ON, on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Registration is required as we have limited capacity due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
