Obituary of Ellen Betterley

On Monday March 16,2009 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Ellen Jane Betterley (Lock) in her 73rd year. Beloved wife for 55 years of Alvin (Al) Betterley of Strathroy and dear mother of Al (Deanna) Betterley of Mount Brydges and Judy Abra (Betterley) of Stratrhoy and Edward (Ed) Betterley of Strathroy. Cherished grandmother of Stephen (Jessica), Cecilia, Bradley, and Brian Abra, Justin (Cyrstal) Betterley and Jeffrey Betterley. Jane was also survived by 7 great grandchildren and her sisters Jean Pierce and June (Dennis) Boyse as well as her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Harold Lock and step sister Millie Harding. Jane was a dedicated and active Lioness for Mount Brydges for many years and was Past MDA President. A Lioness Memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday March 19, 2009 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm. where funeral service will be held on Friday March 20th at 11:00am. Interment to follow Mount Brydges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Eyes Right would be appreciated by the family.
