I feel truly fortunate that Stanley “tapped” his way into my life. I first met Stanley cashing out at the LCBO (and after many visits lol) one thing led to another and before you know it...he’s standing...ok...bubbling with excitement to be in tap shoes in one of my adult classes. A natural performer, we enjoyed tapping together for a few years. When it came time for Stanley to hang up his shoes, we enjoyed moments of catching up when crossing paths at Superstore or on the sidewalks of Strathroy. Stanley was such a kind and charismatic character and I am the lucky one to have crossed paths with him in our life journey. Stanley, I'm so sorry I missed your call...but your voicemail ended up being a precious gift as were the "vintage" dance items you left for me at the studio. Cheers to one of my favourite tap students! My sincere condolences to the family. Sincerely Miss Cathy

Stanley and I met back in 1974, and have maintained a steadfast intimacy & camaraderie throughout the decades, despite the huge distances in both geography & time between actual meetings. Zillions of wonderfully zany & gut-wrenching memories… I send my heartfelt condolences to all of you who were also blessed in knowing Stan as a brother, partner, or precious friend. We can all carry on his torch, by practicing the kindness, care & mirthfulness that defined who he always was. Make the world a better place by remembering & emulating our one, and only Stanley Havelock Lunan.
Love& all good things,
Maïla
PS Went to my local Elliston Anglican Chapel & lit a candle for Stan. Then, as he would have done, stopped to dead head the petunias on the front stoop. Love ya forever, Stanley.

Rami, family and friends please accept Ken and my condolences . I first met Stanley on a train ride coming from Toronto. He would be getting off in London and waiting for the next train to Strathroy. I overheard his conversation with his seat mates and went over, introduced myself as Mayor of Strathroy and asked if he wanted to get off in London with me as Ken would be picking me up and then driving to Strathroy for Barber shop singing. He would get home faster. He said yes and we became friends.

So very sorry to hear of this very sad news. I had not seen or spoken to Stanley since 1974.
He was my roommate for the 1973-1974 school year whilst attending a boarding school in the Eastern Townships known as Stanstead College. My fondest memory was the time (many hours indeed) we spent in our dormitory with me helping him get ready for his role as Ebenezer Scrooge for the Christmas play put on at the school for Christmas 1973. Oh, by the way, he was amazing in that play, he aced it!

Dear Rami and family: So sorry to hear the sad news. Many years ago while you still lived in Toronto going back and forth on the train we met and worked for this kind man. After moving and retiring here in Strathroy with his partner they both became great additions to our community. Stanley’s advice at the liquor store or guidance and humour at his cooking classes are great memories. Always time for a kind conversation he will be missed. Bert, Cindy and Brian Pascuzzo
