Obituary of Velma Waters-Walpole

Waters-Walpole, Velma - Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy on Monday March 23rd, 2009. Velma Pearl Walpole (Waters) (nee Watson) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Dalton Walpole and the late Gordon Waters (1982). Dear mother of Murray (Cheryl) Waters of Strathroy and Ross (Cecilia) Waters of Victoria BC. Loving grandmother to Katelyn (fiancé, Chris Minten) and Kyle Waters of Strathroy and Curtis Waters of Vancouver BC and Alan Waters of Victoria BC also survived by sister in law Verna Watson as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Mary Edith (Eastabrook) Watson of Kerwood and her brother Mervin Watson and sister Florence Statham. Velma was a well known Administrative Nurse at Strathmere Lodge for many years. Velma and Gord built their much loved family cottage near Wiarton on Colpoy's Bay 60 years ago, where they enjoyed the company of family and friends. Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME LTD., STRATHROY on Saturday March 28, 2009, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm where funeral service will be held at that time. Rev. Steve Boose, officiating. Interment, at Strathroy Cemetery. Donations in memory of Velma made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family . A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Velma .
