When I think back to highschool, Carrie and Marg automatically come to mind. The white house on Queen St, will always be a "childhood home". More time was spent there, than at my own house.
Marg opened up her home to me, she was remarkably generous. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner Marg ensured no one went hungry. All she asked in return was for Carrie and I to keep music to a minimum and clean up after ourselves. She made her home a safe haven and for that I'll be forever thankful.
To me, Marg was the ideal parental figure. The perfect balance. On one side, she was "The Cool Mom" who planned road trips to Canada's Wonderland, was onboard with backyard campfires, and even drove Carrie and I to our first concert. On the other side, was a strongly independent, self-sufficient woman who did not accept disobedience.
Marg's bedroom was on the main floor, just off the living room and to this day whenever I see double french doors, I think of her. I remember riding my bike to her work, to drop off her favourite sandwich (Tomato and mayo, salt and pepper on toasted bread) how much she loved her kids and her dog Dalton, her candle collection, and her beautiful long hair.
Carrie, Jason, Tanya- I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you the utmost strength.

Jason, we were so sorry to hear about your Mom. We spent many hours over the years together on the sidelines watching you and Zack play soccer. She was just such a lovely, kind person and loved her kids beyond words. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family, Tony and Karen Thuss.

Your mom is an angel and she will always be by your side, in your laughs, smiles, tears and your happy and hard times. She will be watching as a proud mother and will live through you. Stay strong and know you aren't alone, even on the dark days because she will shine through, even in the little moments when you eat your spaghetti and ketchup. Love your little brother Curtis and your girl Kyndal. Love you Care Bear.

We met Marg when our son Shawn and Jason played indoor soccer and hockey together.
Marg was a really nice person who was always smiling and friendly but what we remember the most was how very proud she was of Jason and how she was always his Number One Fan!
We haven’t seen Marg for years and the boys are now grown but we can only imagine how much she will be missed by her family. Our deepest sympathy to you all.
