We were so very sad and shocked to hear of Grace’s passing. We met Grace when we purchased our beautiful Cavalier Chloe from Grace and Rick. We could tell, from our first meeting, that Grace was a very warm and caring person. We developed a warm relationship with her and brought our dog Chloe back when we were travelling to see our children. We knew that Chloe would be loved and well taken care of. This picture is a perfect example of the way Chloe was treated. That’s Chloe on the Kustermans’ boat. Chloe enjoyed spending time with both Grace and Rick, and she enjoyed spending time with her sibling Rosie (from the same litter), her mother Ebbie, grandmother and great grandmother. We will always remember her fondly. Condolences to Rick and the family on your unbelievable loss. We cannot imagine your pain.

I met Grace through the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels when she contacted me to use a boy we had to breed with her girls. She had only messaged me in February looking for another girl for breeding. Reading through all of the tributes by family and friends, I am in awe of this beautiful, remarkable lady and all the roles she filled. We came to know Grace through being lucky enough to adopt one of her King Charles Cavalier pups. From the moment we connected with Grace through all the videos and pictures she sent of our little Calvin while he was being weaned to when she and Rick welcomed us to their beautiful home, it was obvious how much love and care she devoted to her breeding practice. Would that all breeders had such love for their animals. Grace still loved following Calvin on Facebook as he grew and she was a wonderful FB friend. Her legacy will live on, not only in the obviously beautiful family she raised but also in the lives she enriched with her King Charles Cavaliers. Heart is broken for the family but will always be thankful and think of Grace fondly for the gift she gave us. Her beautiful spirit will always be with us ❤️

Here is a photo of me and my two cousins, one of them being Grace, in our home village. I was very upset because my sister Dorota had an extra photo taken with her friends, which I also wanted as I felt left out. Grace and Grażyna stepped in straight away and posed for the photo with me to make me smile. I will always cherish this memory of her and the good times we had growing up together and later when I came to Canada.
