Obituary of Julie Christine Butler

After a courageous five year battle with cancer, Julie Christine Butler, in her 65th year, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021. Beloved wife of Jeff Butler and loving mother to Kendall Butler (Jeremy Taylor) . Proud grandmother to Adeline Taylor.

 

Julie was a devoted sister to Laurie (Mike) Buckley and Steve (Lorraine), sister-in-law to Cindy (Chris), Janet (Ron), and Lorna (Jim). Daughter-in-law to Dianne Spencer. Predeceased by sister Anita and parents, Ted and Helen Peters. Beloved aunt to Kevin (Ashley), Cory (Cara), Greg, Aaron, Andrea (Spencer), Chris (Leanne), Miranda, Lindsay (Kyle), Nathan (Lyndsay),  Amanda, and Josh.

 

Julie’s strength is to be admired. She had a love for animals and described the barn where she rode horses as her “happy place”. She volunteered at V.O.N and was passionate about giving to many charities. Julie had the biggest heart and was a comfort for many.

 

Cremation has taken place with interment to follow at a later date. Sadly, due to COVID-19, no memorial service will be held, however a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the V.O.N of Middlesex-Elgin, Ontario SPCA and the humane society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
