I'll always cherish the gardening time I spent with Winston in Burlington since May, 2018. Although I have been gardening for years, Winston was most generous in answering my questions and pointing out new items here on this 5 acres between Lake Ontario /Lakeshore Road. While I weeded, I listened with great interest to Winston's stories of his life, family members, and of his great love of over 50 years, David. Winston was an entertaining and riveting story teller, lovely companion and wine sharer. After Winston moved to his niece's house, I adopted some of Winston's garden beds where I continued our shared love of planting /tending perennials and of course, weeding! This delphinium and columbine photo is part of my horticultural tribute to this true gentleman. Thank you, Winston, and may the Angels keep you forever in their care. Fondly, Elizabeth

We are very sorry for your loss and can only imagine the pain you are all feeling. I have so many great memories of Winston.
His kindness, his Love for others, he knew how to make a short story long and I loved every story.
That smile was contagious. This obituary picture brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face when I saw him surrounded by bright beautiful flowers. Just as I am sure surround him in Heaven.
Don & I send our Love and blessings to all of you at this time.

Such a warming and mischievous smile that lit up the room! Winston was a guy with a lot of class and in a class of his own. When I was child I was painfully shy yet he and my Aunt Edna always tried to make me feel like I belonged. He always lived far away but I hope he knew he was never far from our hearts. I know his family and friends will find life a little less bright without him. Winston waving in the third photo taken on the banks of the Bay of Chaleur next to a trailer the Sullivans had traveled down from Ontario in. The last is a painting of Winston's Maternal Grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Cushing Whelton's farm in Pokeshaw NB that Winston loved to visit in those long ago days when family reunited often.

When I think of Winston ,I think of his smile, his laugh, the twinkle in his eyes. Winston was very good to everyone and loved by all. I remember stopping in Toronto on my way out west. Winston took me for dinner in the restaurant at top of CN Tower and returned me to airport. You could always count on him. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the family.
