Dearest Pat. I am so sorry and so sad to hearing of John's passing. I know it's been many years since I have seen you both, but not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind. You still are, and always will be, "Mom" and "Dad" to me. I have so many beautiful and fun memories of the years I got to know you. You took me in when I was between places. And that was how I came to consider you both Family. To Katie and Tobi, your Father was one of the greatest men I have had the privilege of knowing. My Deepest condolences to all of John's Family.
Great memories working with John on the General Sir Arthur Currie Memorial Project. He always brought a great sense of humour to the group. My condolences to family and friends. He will be missed.

I am so sad to hear of John’s passing. John was an integral part of the growth of youth soccer in Strathroy. He was a skilled coach, a dedicated executive member and a fair referee. John remained interested in soccer long after he retired and would always pop in to see me “to catch up on the latest soccer news” and offer his advise. I’ll miss him and remember him fondly.

Remembering our summer stay in Strathroy; where this train-obsessed nephew got an eyeful of the coolest, most humongous freight-trains that rattled past the house on an hourly basis. Mind-blowing for a kid of about 7yrs, and you were an incredible guide!

Our deepest condolences to Pat, Katie, Tobi & all the families. Two of my fondest memories of John was when we ( Pat & John, Alice & Roc, Maureen & Gary, Rick & myself) were playing Monday game nights. It was Pay & John's turn to host. I took my sambucca in a water bottle, set it on the kitchen counter & let everyone know what it was. A little later on in the evening John poured himself a scotch & water. Not realizing he used my bottle water. Need I say more? LOL We have laughed many times over this incident. He drove me back & forth to my appointments when I was unable to drive when I had my leg surgery back a few years ago. We had many one on one conversations & I'm very thankful for all his help. He had a hard shell but a big heart. Once you got past the shell, you would get to see he really did have a soft side. RIP John
