Just learning of Crista's passing, and am so saddened to hear! We went to elementary school together, and I was recently re-acquainted with her through the gym that she owned in Strathroy. She was a very inspiring and positive person, and I'm so lucky that our paths crossed again. My sincere condolences to her Family.

Sad and shocking news to hear of Crista's death, and at such a young age. We grew up in the same area and attended the same public and high schools. I remember her as a fun and positive person. Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

I am extremely shocked and terribly saddened to learn of Crista’s passing.
Ironically, I was just thinking about Crista earlier this week, out of the blue...wondering how she was doing and thinking of getting in touch. So it unnerved me to learn of her passing.
I remember Crista to always be smiling and confident and I admired her for following her desire and going into the trades. I admired her for her fortitude, for being a free spirit, for being resilient.
Reading the many the Memories and comments on here, she has certainly left a positive impact with many people in her short time here.
My most sincere condolences to Crista’s family, friends, and colleagues. May your own warm memories of Crista and those of so many others bring you some comfort.
I trust Crista will continue to be a free spirit. May you Rest In Peace, Crista, free of the cancer but moreover knowing you made a difference in the lives of others. You were a shining, bright light.
In sympathy and in sorrow,
Serena Moro

I first met Crista working at KML in the range of 25 years ago. I quickly came to know her as a dedicated hard working person that always put her best into whatever task she was challenged with. I recall many days where she would worked countless overtime hours not only with the goal of completing work tasks but providing for her family.
Crista had an energetic personality with a positive attitude that would rival the best of anyone I have ever met.
Crista, you have touched all our lives in such a positive way... you will be missed by all that have been so fortunate to know you.
Rest in peace my good friend

We were neighbors of Crista for a few years in Mount Brydges. I was truly shocked and saddened when I heard of her passing. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to her children, Nathan and Cassidy. Everything she did was for them. They were her world. May your heart heal with knowing she is now in peace. RIP Crista.

To The Queen of Love YING,
(aka Crista Ann Pelacek)
REST IN THE POWER OF THE LOVE YOU GAVE US!
You were stronger for us more than you could have ever honestly know,
where would we be if we did not have you to always push us to learn and grow.
How you managed to hide your pain and suffering in your private way,
how you changed the subject with that smile and asked how was my day.
How you made time for others and made it feel like you could listen forever,
how you used your pain, sacrifices, and challenges to make you even stronger.
I was soooo in no way done with and showing you every day how much I LOVED YOU.
In no way was I done loving you and you accepting that love and adoration daily, weekly forever from me.
What's it like and you earned them so long ago for all you have ALREADY done,
but tell me I want to know how it feels to finally be higher and brighter than anyone.
Whenever I need to see you or be reminded of your heart I will look into your children's perfect eyes and sparkling smiles to see you in them and how you perfectly gave them your undeniable beauty mark!
Even on those excruciating days, when you said you had lost half your strength,
all I can remember is how you gave US all your deepest heartfelt thanks!
OMG you know for a fact that I was so not even close to being down loving you yet.
Everyone knows that angels like you only come around once in a lifetime, is all we ever truly get.
You was a maverick and a rogue an independent free thinker and a true testament for your amazing children, family, and die-hard friends and fans of your legacy that we ALL shall never let end.
In the only way that now matters the most is my soul has lost it's true
heartbeat of my forever unbreakable friend !!
PS: YING tell me what's it like to be able to finally spread your MIGHT YING WINGS and never worry about breaking anything!
As I always did I will love you with my absolute everything.
Always your YANG !

I was Crista's high school bus driver. I'm surprised she never went to the Olympics as it was almost daily she'd be running down the driveway for the bus. I'd sit & wait patiently for this young lady. She also played for a season on our women's slow pitch ball team for Poplar Hill. RIP Crista you ran a good race until you could run no more. Hugs kiddo.

Aunt Carol, "Shelley", & Peter. I am absolutely devastated for your loss. Crista was always such a strong person and I was optimistic that she would be able to beat the cancer. She was so young, beautiful, clever, & hardworking. I have so many fond memories from our childhood with us hanging around the pool, running around your big property, and squeezing 2 women & 6 children into Aunt Carol's little car like sardines for big shopping trips. Crista & I were always happy that we were the eldest and "tallest" cousins so that we did not have to squeeze into the car's rear hatch like the younger ones...
Nathan & Cassidy. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom fought hard to stay with you & I can only imagine how pained she would have been when she knew that she could fight no more. She has given you good tools to become good people who value family, hard work, and a zest for life. Use those tools to make her proud!
Uncle Don. Please take good care of your little girl up in heaven and make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble. You know how spirited she can be. Surround her with love, LOTS of animals, and a toolbelt so that her beautiful smile radiates all the way here.
Michele & Sophie

This was shocking news to hear for all of my family. My memories with my cousin are the same as my sister Nancy. Playing at grandma and grandpas farm and spending Christmas together there. She always use to tease me, because I was a city boy, lol. Also working with her at KML windows. I also had fond memories. Aunt Carol, my deepest condolences. She will be with Uncle Don now!
