Our condolences to Sharon and family. You and Ron were always so friendly to those of us who were more recent additions to the Evergreen Court families. We miss you very much. Ron always had a twinkle in his eyes, as if he was up to something that none of us would ever know about. We hope that your memories of Ron will bring a smile to all your faces and a twinkle to your eyes too.

Ron and Sharon were first to welcome us when we moved into the neighborhood, very friendly and often offering a helping hand. A few years ago Ron was regularly over helping me build the workshop beside our house, we shared many laughs about how much bracing had to be nailed to the poles.
I would often see Ron gathering pinecones and sticks around the property, after they moved I have come to realize that he gathered much of that up around our property too.
Our condolences to Sharon and Family.

I first met Ron and Sharon in 2004 when I bought my
cottage in Hanover. I had a lot to learn and Ron was
always there to help me. I learned a lot from him and
every weekend he was there to help, wanting to know
what our project was this weekend.
I still miss my Saturday night camp fires with Ron and
Sharon. I would play music and Ron would sing along as
well as point out all the stars in the sky and their names.
We had a lot of laughs together.
I have been missing him for a couple years now.
So long Ron, you were a great friend.

Ron was a great friend, neighbor, and coworker for the first seven years of his employment at LL, after which my career took me to employment with The Hartford in Hartford CT in 1970. Our paths would cross periodically during our subsequent IT careers. Fortunately last year my wife and I had the opportunity to visit with Ron and Sharon to reminisce over our "social activities" at the "programmers paradise" on William Street, as well as our neighborhood times together. He was a man of high morals, honest in his dealings, and a valued friend. May he RIP. Our condolences to Sharon, Tim, and Jason. Pat and Bill Ketchabaw

Murr introduced me to computers way back in the 60s and 70's. He taught me how they work, how to diagnose and fix problems and was instrumental in my developing a love of computers which took me through a 35 year career with London Life (Canada Life) and which continues today. We took many memorable trips together to Ottawa, Toronto and Kitchener to see first hand how these new "large" mainframes worked before being installed in our Head Office. Imagine being able to run programs in a 256 K partition and at the same time as two other smaller partitions were running. Wow. May you rest in peace Ron Murray. You were the best!

Murr, a good person....
My condolences to Sharon, Tim, Jason, and families....
He successfully brought together a few misfits, with a bunch of regular folks, including Don Lourie, John Mitchell, Doug Brandie, Andy Kendal, Don Magee, Moe Wedlake, Jeff Irwin, Tim Corston, Frank Guetter, Karren ????, and a myriad of others to form a very cohesive group. Murr innately knew what everyone could successfully do (or not), and he let them progress and learn on their own terms; somehow, he sensed that any time there were issues, he was ready to step in.... Murr was the best Manager i ever had!
I remember him working late at night and on weekends with the developers of Abend-AID at LL (oops sorry, Canada Life) and turning down an offer to join their group, which would have netted him million$$$$, but thankfully, instead, he chose to work with us common folks...
A really good person; he will be missed....

It was such a great pleasure to work for 20 years with Ron at LL. He was an early computing era genius, developing database management software for London Life before most of the world had any idea what a database was. We also played in the outfield together on the LL fastball team and Ron was always kind enough to let me know where the ball was headed by yelling, “BACK YOU!” What a delight it was, in recent years, to have him as part of our group at the London Life veterans golf day at Ironwood. And what about that laugh?
My sincere condolences to you, Sharon, your family, and Ron’s many friends. He was a great guy.

To Sharon & Family,
Pleae accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Beloved Ron. I only knew Ron from watching and listening to him sing a long word for word with all the different musicians who came to entertain at Strathmere Lodge, while I was visiting my brother Mel Lightfoot before his passing in December. It is such a joy to see people enjoy music and Ron certainly did that. He put many a smile on the residents and vistiors faces.
Treasure your memories of him and hold them close to your heart where he will always remain, and remember that LOVE
never dies.
RIP Ron. You are now singing with the Angels!
Sincerely,
Linda Fox
