Dear Florence, Helen and Bill and families
We were so sorry to hear the sad news about Roni. I remember so many good times playing ball with her (and also Florence and Helen... with her Dad as our coach). She was always so much fun and her laugh was contagious. I feel so fortunate that after many years without seeing her, our paths crossed again lately while we were both getting our hair cut. It was so good to chat with her again. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this sad time. She will be missed by so many people and was a role model for all of us to follow. Roni’s sudden passing is still surreal. We golfed with Deb and Roni just a week earlier and enjoyed an amazing day with so much laughter. As usual, Roni’s infectious laugh could be heard by those who were holes away. We will miss that laugh and those witty one-liners. Roni was so much fun to be around. She was down to earth with no pretence and always put you at ease. She also had a serious side and we enjoyed many deep conversations and benefitted from Roni’s wisdom and sage advice. She was taken too soon. Roni, we will miss you so much.
Deb, may you find support in the love that surrounds you.

My sincere condolences to Deb and to Roni's extended family.
Roni's laugh was wonderful. And as it got louder you knew you were having an even better time than when you started playing bocci or dominoes. She was such a stickler for rules too. I will miss Roni's positive outlook and quirky comments.
Lots of love to you Deb.

I was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Veronica and extend my sympathy to her family at the loss of such a wonderful person. Our paths never crossed after high school, but memories from our time together at Medway came flooding back. She and Gloria and Ruth were the 3 Musketeers back in those days, but her circle of friends included everyone! Her joy of life and her athletic ability were amazing and as I watched the video tribute her smile and love of life shines through in every photo! In Grade 13, she was crowned our Prom Queen in 1970...voted on by the student body as the most loved and respected student in the school....So well deserved! I have included the Yearbook pic of the night she was crowned. May she rest in peace.

My aunt Roni was a very special aunt, and I have always felt very lucky to have her. The more amazing women one can have in their life the better it is. She could make you smile even when you were sick as a dog lying on her couch; she would throw a ball at you until you perfected your catch and regained your strength. She was such a fun-loving soul, a child at heart, who won me over with her Scooby-Doo impression. I remember once getting into a mime game of tug-of-war with her, she was such a good sport that when I let go of the virtual rope she actually fell and we both ended up rolling on the floor in laughter. You could always hear her from a mile away, she almost got us kicked off multiple campgrounds. Although, she had a way with words and could always talk to anyone. She had a way of making everyone feel loved, always. Roni will forever be in our hearts, I will remember her in my family's laughter, playing of card games and enjoying of beverages. Baahaabaarimbaa Roni, you will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Roni’s passing. I guess it’s true and only the good die young. She was always like a breath of fresh air in the room with her laughter and jokes. It was a pleasure to have known her, may she Rest In Peace. Not many of us are privileged enough to experience such an intense and unconditional love of another human being and I cannot imagine the pain Deb must now endure. Deb, may you find strength in those who love and surround you at this difficult time. Although gone, Roni will never be forgotten.
Love always,
Joanne Baptie

Deb, We are deeply saddened for your tragic loss.
Aside from the contagious laughing and joking, Roni also had a serious side…a side filled with common sense and wisdom. We were fortunate enough to benefit from her wise words and will always be grateful.
We will never forget you Roni.

Roni was a fabulous person with a marvelous sense of humour who just happened to be my secretary. We would play gin rummy or try to throw pennies against the frig into a jar before the rest of the staff arrived or the first customer came in. I was alarmed (and secretly proud) to discover that we were distantly related. She was totally trustworthy. Roni had a world-class laugh and she elevated people’s enjoyment of life by being in her presence.

I am so saddened to hear of Roni's sudden and 'too early' death. I fondly remember playing baseball with Roni, Florence and Helen in Arva. Roni was a great ball player and so much fun to be around.
Sincerest condolences.

a lady who fit in right away everywhere she went and was loved along with Debbie.....maybe more sometimes haha. You could see and feel the love Roni and Deb had and that is a blessing that not everyone finds or can hold onto. She always teased and made everyone laugh and feel good. Spending time with her, knowing her and being part of her life has been and will always be a gift. Continue the party in heaven my friend - you left way too soon!

My sincere condolences to Debbie and the Godwin Family. I had the pleasure of working with Roni almost 20 years ago and will never forget her positive energy, kindness and that laugh! Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms, I go to prepare a place for you..."John 14:1-3 Dear Debbie and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Roni always brought joy into the lives of those she touched. Her smile came easily and her laughter was infectious. She loved playing cards and would groan when I came for a visit as cards was never my thing but she would patiently try to teach me and then give up when I never took it seriously! She would, however, always welcome me with open arms, a hearty "hello Jo" and a glass of Wisers and diet coke. Again, she'd groan at my choice of diet coke but made it for me anyway, with ice......yup, another groan that I liked mine with ice. She loved company and together with dear Debbie would joyfully welcome me into their home. I always enjoyed the most fabulous meals, laughter and fun during my visits and would return home so thankful for their friendship and love. The coming days will be difficult but remember that Roni is in Heaven and is alive and well and rejoicing with those who have gone before her. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you all who are mourning this unspeakable loss. God bless and comfort you. Love Jo

Auntie Roni always had a great sense of humor and put everyone at ease. My favorite memories of auntie roni would be camping (with the many glo-sticks) as well as thanksgiving camping 2 years ago and the sleep overs at her and auntie debbies. My fiancee, David, says that his favourite memory was of her beating him at pool and welcoming him into the family. I'll miss her everyday! Rest In Peace Auntie Roni, i know your up in heaven playing cards and drinking Wiser's with nanny and poppy!
