I remember uncle Gilbert of the time wel were in Canada when I was young. Not really knowing him because of the distance between Holland and Canada. Looking at the pictures you have shared, I see a lovely husband, father and grandfather. As a close family you are, you will all miss him !

We will always remember uncle Gilbert as a very nice person. I loved to have contact with him. We talked about the families on both sides of the big pond. And about sports, all kind of sports, soccer, cycling, he knew about all of them. I did not know much about the favorite sports in Canada, but he explained it to me.He used to say that I was the midnight caller because of the time difference between our countries. The contact was dificult the last time but then he was on the background telling aunt Lisette what to say. We will pray for him.
