Andrew Scott posted a condolence
Monday, July 8, 2024
My name is Andrew Scott. I am Geoff's son. My mother is Melanie Scott, and my grandmother was Donna Scott. Geoff and I have never met. Tragically, by the time I had worked up the courage to ask his name to look him up, what I found was this obituary. The obituary stated 30 days had passed since his passing. I am happy to now be able to associate a face to him. I really enjoyed reading the kind remarks and fun stories people have contributed since his passing. I am saddened to learn about how much he and I are alike. Like could have certainly been a lot different than it was...
I am glad to know that he had a happy life and that he was surrounded by those who loved him. May he rest in peace.

Probably the best recollection that I have of Geoff was his rating system for ALL of the various Swiss Chalet Restaurants in the greater London / Chatham / Sarnia area.
He had tried them all and he had them rated on a scale of 1 to 10 for all sorts of aspects - the crispness of the fries, the temperature of the food, the tanginess of the sauce, the promptness of the service, the quality of the chicken, the cleanliness of the restaurant and so on and so on. Trust me - it was a very BIG deal!!!
In case you are interested, my recollection was that the best was the one at the north end of London.

Geoff, you were the most humble man we have ever met. A side from being the smartest. We will forever appreciate your friendship and the many things you taught us. You are missed greatly already. We could always count on your understanding and kind words in any situation. We love you my friend and will see you again one day. Rest in peace. Sincerely with the heaviest of hearts, Jenn and Derek 519.732.9812
Sue and family, We are very sorry for your loss. We share your heavy hearts to hear of Geoff's passing. He was the greatest of men and left his print on the hearts of the people he met, worked with, and became friends with. Sue even though we did not have the pleasure of meeting you, we would like to let you know that if there is anything we can help with let us know. And we would like to know if there will be a service in the future or where his site will be? Thank you for the opportunity to write this piece to you and him. Sincerely, Jenn and Derek

You will be missed. You are kind, smart, and a very good friend. I knew you before I had to repeat myself a few times trying to get a point across and sometimes you nodded just to get me to stop talking. I will keep you in a little pocket in my heart till we meet again. Love Mike and Christine.

This is Geoff heading to the prom. I’m so sad to hear of his passing. We had many fun days together in our late adolescence and early twenties. I will always remember his bright mind and sense of humour. Rest easy my friend...
To all of his family, please accept my sincere condolences. He has left us far too soon
