Obituary of Albert Cornelius Vandenbogaard

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital with his loving wife, Mary Vandenbogaard (nee Kennes) of 64 years by his side; Albert Cornelius Vandenbogaard passed away on Sunday, May 31st, 2020 at the age of 90. Dear father of John (Anne) Vandenbogaard, Tony (Pat) Vandenbogaard, Ted (Marion) Vandenbogaard, Mary (Hank) Veens and Bob (Karin) Vandenbogaard. Proud grandfather of Amanda (Kris), Shelley (Wayne), Rebecca (Alex), Jason (Kate), Angela (James), Justin, Aaron, Julie (Paul), Katie (Brad), Frankie (Nissa), Karla (Emil), Tracy (Brendan), Jenny (Shawn), Mark (Mackenzie), Sarah (Parker), Christina (Rhys), Matthew, Ryan (Rebecca), Wayne, Laura, Paul, Steven, Kathleen, Daniel, Maria and Thomas. Cherished great grandfather of 14 great grandchildren. Albert is survived by his siblings Chris Koolen, Ted (Paula) Koolen and Johanna (the late Herman) Straatman. Albert will be fondly remembered by the Vandenbogaard, Koolen and Kennes families in Canada and The Netherlands. Predeceased by his siblings Hendrika Vervoordeldonk, Nellie Vandenbogaard, Theo Vandenbogaard, Miet Van Lierop, Driek Koolen, Nol Koolen and Thiest Koolen. A family graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 4th, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
