Obituary of James McVeeney

Peacefully, with his family by his side at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, September 19, 2009 James "Jim" McVeeney born in Dublin Ireland now residing in Ailsa Craig at the age of 75. Loving husband of Maura McVeeney (nee Cummins) for 55 years. Beloved father of Jennie (Bob) Ziegler, Tom McVeeney, Maura Hohner (Paul Wright), Jim McVeeney (Jean Carroll), David (Gayle) McVeeney, Paul (Tammy) McVeeney and Patty (Steve) Leyten. Predeceased by his son Martin V. McVeeney (1995). Dear grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Forever remembered by his sister May (Bill) Brennan and their children and many relatives in Dublin, Ireland. Friends will be received at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, 171 Main Street, Ailsa Craig (519) 293-3331 on Tuesday, September 22 from 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, R. R. #3, Lucan on Wednesday, September 23rd at 3:00 pm. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Humane Society.
