Obituary of Martin Speelman

With family by his side, Martin Speelman was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 86th year. Beloved husband of 62 years of Antonia Speelman (Spoelstra). Loving father of Henriette (Martin) Baelde, Charles Speelman (Karen), Marlene (Wilf) Allaer, Annette Speelman/Wilpstra (Allan), Mark (Julie) Speelman and the late Peter (Survived by Carol) Speelman. Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Maria (the late Cor) Van Dyke, Ronnie (the late Adrian) Van Kempen, Willemena (Jan) Vandergeest, Joanne (the late John) Mantel, Ina (John) Hoogstra, Lydia (the late Walter) DeRuiter, John (Corrie) Speelman, Eric (Joanne) Speelman and Mary (Doug) Gibbon. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 7-9 PM at Westmount Christian Reformed Church. Funeral service will be Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 1 PM at Westmount Christian Reformed Church. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Strathroy Middlesex Hospital Foundation.
